Welcome to Spazio Bodywork®

20 years training Californian Massage professionals.

Spazio Bodywork® is the first school in Spain specialized in this type of massage.

We are pioneers in creating trends and this is our hallmark.

We invite you to meet us in our free talks, see a live demonstration of our equipment and solve all your doubts. In the workshops (2 hours and a half) we will give you the basics and fundamentals of Californian Massage so that you can take away an experiential experience of giving and receiving. One of these workshops is designed for massage therapists only, to learn how to take care of themselves, work effortlessly and without harming themselves. For the open house afternoon, no prior registration is necessary, you can come directly and sign up there to receive a 15 min massage.

a demonstration and have the opportunity to practice it (giving and receiving), always

supervised by one of our instructors.

Spazio Californian Massage® is a preventive and resolutive Manual Therapy based on the principles of Gestalt psychology that helps to re-organize body, mind and emotions, considering that the body has the ability to heal itself because health is its natural state. It is a refined form of massage, turned into art, as it brings together conscious massage, body and energy work, elevating it to holistic healing, enhanced by contact with presence and support in dynamic meditation.

It is characterized by long, fluid and integrative movements that serve as the basis for a wide range of deep contact techniques. These are performed mainly with the hands, forearms and elbows, using oils that facilitate fluidity.

SPAZIO BODYWORK® TRAINING based on Californian Psychosomatic Massage

The main focus of this level is to understand the concept of Spazio Californian Massage®, the enveloping wave that characterizes it, learning to move the energy in the person through the changes of rhythms and pressures during the massage. Learning to play with awareness, using different parts of the hand to work with the more voluminous and superficial musculature. Much emphasis will be placed on body posture so that the student understands how to move around the table to learn how to work effortlessly with the Californian massage.

The format of the classes is based on;

– first in any bodily practice

– followed by the corresponding theoretical development

– and then by instructor demonstrations and practice sessions (giving and receiving).

This work is complemented with basic knowledge of energetic balancing, Osho’s active meditations, conscious breathing and movement (Gabrielle Roth’s 5 Rhythms Dance and Continuum technique). All this helps to achieve greater body awareness and relaxation.

WHO WILL ACCOMPANY YOU?

SUJATI SANDRA LACANNA - DIRECTOR AND INSTRUCTOR

She started her training as a therapist in India, in 1994, where she lived for 2 years at Osho Comune International experiencing different bodywork techniques such as rebirthing, massage, colorpuncture therapy and many different methods of transformation, accompanying this process with an honest conscious exploration of emotions through meditations and therapeutic dance such as the five rhythms of Gabrielle Roth. With more than 20 years of professional experience, she has lived and worked in Australia, Argentina and Spain.
She has been trained in the technique of Harmonic Hammocks® and then specialized in Californian Massage, at the Oasis School of Massage, graduating and playing her role as assistant and instructor in the different courses. In addition, she completed advanced training in Family Constellations for therapists (2005) with Vedanta Suravi and Svagito Liebermeister and training in Zen therapy (2010) with Svagito Liebermeister. Currently, she gives individual sessions and coordinates courses and trainings of Californian massage in several cities in Spain, through which she transmits the essence of this work leading clients
and participants to feel a higher level of wellness and awareness. She is internationally certified as an Esalen® Massage Teacher by the Esalen Institute of Big Sur (California) and is in her second year of Somatic Experience® training.

MARIA LUCAS - INSTRUCTOR

Californian Massage and Esalen Massage Therapist, director of Espacio Calithai Masajes. She began her training in Californian Massage living in Argentina in 2006 where she discovered the Oasis School of Massage and Healing Arts. In 2008 she moved back to Madrid where she met Sujati, with whom she collaborated as an assistant for the Spazio Massage® School. The path continues to be nurtured on the basis of personal experience and training. She is certified in Esalen Massage, Deep Tissue (with Yamuna and Roger – Oasis) and specialization workshops with Ingrid May (Oasis). In 2015 she inaugurated her own work space in Madrid: Espacio Calithai Masajes, where she is dedicated to giving Esalen Californian Massage sessions and participating more closely with the Spazio Masajes® School, opening the internship space for students. You are in the first year of Somatic Experience® training. “I contemplate the body as a key to inner exploration that leads us to silence and to the intrinsic joy of life.”
